Thomas Ian Griffith ( born on March 18, 1962 ) is an American actor and martial artist. He is famous for his role as Terry Silver in The Karate kid. He is now reprising that role in the season 4 and 5 of the Netflix show The Cobra Kai.
He was born in Hartford, Connecticut to his parents. His parents are named Thomas Joseph Griffith and Mary Ann. He did his high school and college education there before moving out to New York to try his hand in acting.
Griffith, while in high school, became very interested in Tae Kwon Do and earned his first black belt when he was 18.
It was later that his knowledge in martial arts landed him roles in movies.
