Police are still looking for an 88-year-old man from south Manchester who went missing.

On Sunday night, at 7.30 p.m., Ronald Roose vanished (November 27). He was last observed at his East Didsbury residence on Bankside Road.

The River Mersey’s tow route is where he is thought to have travelled after leaving the house from the back of the property, according to police. Officers are unsure of his subsequent whereabouts.

Ronald is still missing, a Greater Manchester Police spokesperson told the Manchester Evening News today (Wednesday). He is the subject of continuing searches.

He was last seen with dark-colored walking shoes, loose-fitting black cotton jogging trousers, which he was not belting, and a dark-colored half-zip fleece pullover. According to the police, he was not at all wearing a coat.

Ronald is characterised as a Caucasian male who is approximately 5 feet 6 inches tall, with a slender physique. He has greying, thinning hair.

Anyone with information should contact police on 101 or should call 999 in an emergency.
