He started his professional career in Benfica, where he staed till 2016. After that, Bayern came calling and he answered, he signed a five- year contarct with them. He became the most exprensive player to live portugal and also the first portugese player to play for Bayern Munich.

He could not perfom in Bayern due to great competition so he moved to Swansea city for year to complete a loan move lasting until June 30, 2018.
