Hamish Kilgour Missing

A week after going missing, renowned Kiwi musician Hamish Kilgour has still not been located.

A police official confirmed that seven days after he was last seen at Christchurch’s The Palms retail centre, the well-known co-founder of The Clean was still missing.

A police official stated that there had been several reported sightings on Friday.

Kilgour’s relatives reportedly expressed worry to Canterbury police about his wellbeing.

Prior to the 2000s, Kilgour was well-known since he and his brother David co-founded the band The Clean in 1978.

In the early 1990s, he relocated to New York City and founded The Mad Scene, releasing the EP Falling Over, Spilling Over.

Kilgour was admitted into the New Zealand Music Hall of Fame in 2017 as a member of the band The Clean after winning an Aotearoa Music Award in 1992 for Pink Flying Saucers Over the Southern Alps’ album cover of the year.
