
Frida Kahlo( full name: Magdelana Carmen Krida y Calderon ) was an Mexican Painter. She is widely known for her potraits and paintings.
She used a naive folk style of painting where explored various questions of identity, postcolonialism, gender and race in Mexican society.
Her paintings has been clasified as a surrealist or magic realist.

Biography
Frida Kahlo was born on July 6, 1907 to her Germann father and and mexican mother. She was raised in Coyoacan. She was disabled by polio in her childhood. But this did not stop her from being a promising student. She had aspired to be a medical doctor. But it could not come true as she was injured in a bus accident.
She started on childhood dream of becoming an artist. She was also deeply intersted in politics and led her to joining Mexican Communist Party in 1927. There she met Diego Rivera. They married in 1929.
They traveled throughout the US and Mexico together, developing her artistic talents further.
Kahlo’s health rapidly declined in the laate 1940’s and died in 1954. She was aged 54 when she died.
Her art was not known by many till 1970’s when her work gained recognition from historians and political aaactivists.
