Casper Ruud ( born on December 22, 1998 ) is a professional tennis player from Norway. He beame the highest ranked Norwegian tennis player when he was ranked 5 in the ATP rankings in June 2022. He is also the only Nowergian to win a ATP singles title and he has won nine of them, eight of them came on clay courts.
He was born in Oslo, Norway. He was raised there with his parents. He turned pro in 2016 after being raked as Junior No. 1, being the first Nowergian to do so. He was 16 at that time.
His father, Christain Ruud, was also a former tennis player. He consideres Rafael Nadal as his idol and has shown it in many calay ATP tours.
