Bulls Player Missing
Sbu Nkosi, a South African rugby union player, has been reported missing to the police, according to his club, which made the announcement on Saturday.
The Blue Bulls claimed in a statement that Nkosi, a member of the Springboks team that won the Rugby World Cup in 2019, had been “away without leave” for three weeks and has not returned calls or messages.
The team from Pretoria claimed that they were now worried for Nkosi’s safety. He last communicated with the team on November 11, and on November 17 the team filed a missing person report with the police.
The statement stated that “this was the outcome of the significant fear and concern of everyone [at the club]”. The Blue Bulls are now requesting “the expert help of the South African Police Services” to identify Nkosi after sending representatives to check on him at his house four times over the previous three weeks.
Before signing on with the Blue Bulls this season, the 26-year-old winger started his career with the Sharks in Durban. Nkosi, a Springbok who has participated in 16 Test matches, scored a try against Canada in Japan during the 2019 World Cup’s group stage.
